Imagine San José safe and secure, anytime of the day or night. These are not just musings but pictures possible if we create visions and take the steps to make them a reality.
It will take the community working together to establish truly trusting and collaborative initiatives. And, it will take additional resources of time, talent and monies to accomplish the harder work to make it happen.
The San José Police Foundation is dedicated to preventing crime, saving lives and making our community a better and safer place to live and work by assisting the San José Police Department with resources not available from the city. We are the major source of private support for the SJPD.
The Foundation was formed in 2006 at the recommendation of Chief Rob Davis. The effort to make the Foundation a reality was completed by Lt. Scott Cornfield when IRS 501(c)(3) status was granted late summer 2006. Their fundraising efforts have just begun.
